Krijn de Koning
De installaties van Krijn de Koning worden op zeer verschillende plekken gebouwd, van musea en galeries en alternatievere plekken die door kunstenaars worden gerund tot architectonische en publieke plekken.
Al zijn werken hebben te maken met het idee van architectuur en plaats, ofwel omdat het werk zelf een toegankelijke eenheid is die dienst doet als een soort uitkijkplatform voor het omliggende gebied, ofwel omdat het werk direct één op één ingrijpt in de ruimte waarin het zich bevindt. 
De meeste werken zijn tijdelijke site-specifieke interventies die de manier waarop de bezoeker de ruimte ervaart ingrijpend veranderen. De elementen die de bezoeker conditioneren over de plaats waar hij zich bevindt worden doorbroken op zijn kop gezet of soms alleen maar benoemd.
Krijn de Koning maakt zijn werken en realiseert kleurrijke ruimtes die je goed moet bekijken met een combinatie van abstract denken en een intuïtieve geest.
The installations of Krijn de Koning are built in a large variety of places, from museums and galleries, to more alternative and artist run places, to some large works in architectural and public environments. All his works deal with the idea of architecture and place, either because the work itself is an accessible unit that functions as a sort of watch-out platform on its surroundings, or because the work intervenes directly on a one-to-one basis with the space it is built in. Most of the works are temporary site-specific interventions 
that profoundly change the way that a visitor perceives the place. It turns around, breaks through, and sometimes only points out the elements that condition the visitor on the place that he is in.
It is in the combination of abstract thinking and an intuitive mind that Krijn de Koning makes his works and realises spatial and colourful spaces that are meant to be closely looked at.
